Do most colleges have their own television shows??NEED ANSWER ASAP

So basically, I found out that Dartmouth has their own television show and they make their own “Late Night” host shows… not legit (like not on actual television), but it seemed so unique and cool! I was wondering if this is only Dartmouth, or if many colleges have something like this

bump!!

Google is your friend.

If the school you are interested in has a communication department, that would be a good first place to search. This may be sponsored by a department group, or it could be an extracurricular club.

uh I did try google hence why I am asking on this site… I know most schools have film clubs, and I’m not asking whether Dartmouth has a television show cuz I know they do. I was just wondering if it is COMMON for schools to have their own campus-wide television show hosting faculty and students, or is that just a Dartmouth thing?

Note: I’m not interested in film studies or communication studies… I just thought it was kinda quirky

BYU has BYU TV with a popular comedy show Studio C, which is on YouTube.

“Texas Student Television is the only student-run, FCC-licensed, digitally broadcasting college television station in the country. Students can learn camerawork, directing, producing, writing, and so much more. Working with a broadcast adviser, the student staff makes all decisions about programming, use of equipment, marketing, production projects and the future of the station.”

I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s “common,” but there are lots of colleges and universities that run their own television stations. The programming varies, of course, and not all of them are going to be doing “late night” type shows.
