My gpa at high school is a 2.3 at the moment and I’m going into my senior year. I had to go to my local community college to get dual credits because I became terribly ill the last couple of years. Now I go to college not only to get the credits but for fun. My gpa at college is a 3.1. My guidance counselor told me that the classes I took at my local community college will replace my old grades at a honors level. I want to study in the UK for university and I want to know if they’ll look at my college gpa as well as my high school one. I would like to study sociology. I got over an 1800 on my SAT and over 600 on my SAT II. Here’s what I took at my local college:
English Comp 1
English Literature
Biology 1
World History
Human Resources
(This is a total of 21 credits)
I understand that my high school gpa is fairly low, but during my whole high school career I’ve had some “special circumstances”. So would UCAS and the universities I’m applying to look at my college gpa as well?
You need to re-post this with a better title. Something along the lines of “Do my dual credit classes count for admission in the UK?” That way you will get the attention of people who might be able to help you.
But meanwhile, drop an email to the universities you are looking at in the UK, and ask how these classes affect your application.
I’ll definitely do that and thank you
Fixed that for you
