do NEUers study abroad, or just work abroad?

i am considering applying to Northeastern and i was wondering if a study abroad program was available, or if students just tended to work abroad. I want to enjoy my international experiences, and not be confined to an office for the majority of my visit…

are there any NEUers out there who have worked abroad? was it a good experience? did you have any opportunities to enjoy the area or did work pretty much take over your life?

thanks for any help =)

There are plenty of study abroad opportunities… it can just be a little bit harder to squeeze into your schedule because of co-op. Still, I know a lot of people who have studied abroad, just like at any other school. There are also summer session classes abroad, which are very popular and easier to schedule in.

Can’t comment on working abroad… although co-oping abroad isn’t super common, it’s a little more difficult in terms of logistics. If you did manage to go abroad for work, I’m sure you’d be able to enjoy the country as well.
