Do not let anything discourage you from applying to Stanford!

Assuming that what the OP has presented is true, would it have been more believable had she lied and listed a 2400 SAT, several international awards, and affiliations with powerful authorities in her country…? -_- How can you tell if something is true or false based on your perception of validity, especially when this information is being presented online? Why am I even typing this? For fun, I guess ^^ And it’s an interesting topic. I’d congratulate you pleasewharton, but I really don’t know what you’re like. However, from the impression that I had gotten from reading your writing, and if this is true, you don’t seem like the kind of person who would care about others’ impressions of you anyway. If you really got in, ^^, all the power to you. Keep striving to better this society that we live in. All of us only have one life to live, and a chance of a lifetime to make a difference in this world. Jiayo!
