I called CALS (Cornell) admissions today because my app is really good, except for my SATII’s. However, at CALS 2 are only recommended, and stupid me sent 6, of those 3 are 600s, 2 500s, and 1 470 (dont ask). She said that since they are not required, they can’t harm your chances, only help them. Do you think she was right? Does this make sense?

They technically have access to all of your scores. I don’t think they lie, why should they?

I doubt they “lie”. Most people “lie” when there is some vested interested to gain or protect. The admission folks have no vested interest in the process. …they are just doing their job…as best they can…

so does this mean that they cant hurt my chances, since they were not required?
