Do Privates care if you SIR to a UC & vice versa?

title.

i MAY get rescinded from UCLA, so I was thinking of sending my intent to register to USC just in case.

will UCLA care since USC isn’t part of the UC system which means it doesn’t really count as sending 2 SIRs

sorry if i’m confusing or asking a dumb question, just got out of a final…

I don’t even think they have a way of confirming that you have SIRed somewhere else. With the UCs, it’s all in one system, so they would.

May I ask why you think you might be rescinded from UCLA?

admitted with a 3.5 poli sci

taking 3 classes, 2 are 3 units each, and the last one is a lab for 2 units which equals 8 units in total.

projected grades: A(3 unit) B(3Unit) C(2 Unit Lab) = 3.12 semester gpa, if worst comes to worst possibly 2.75 semester gpa

Ouch. Sorry to hear that.

I do think you will be fine though, as I’m sure privates can’t see that you’ve submitted your SIR to a UC.

Best of luck to you regardless!

thanks a lot, i appreciate that

i’m optimistic, im sure i did well on my finals, but it doesn’t hurt to have all my grounds covered.
