Do psychologist go to med school?

I’m thinking about becoming a psychologist in the future, and i was wondering if you go to med school to become a psychologist?

Where do you go after college? And if not med school, what is the test that would be the equivalence to the MCAT, or LSAT for law, or SAT for college.(If you get what i mean)

No, you do not go to medical school to become a psychologist. Depending upon what type of work you actually want to do as a psychologist, you would need at least a masters, but more likely, a PhD. The basic standardized test for admission into graduate school is the GRE (Graduate Record Exam).

Perhaps you are thinking of psychiatrists. They do indeed go to medical school and then go through the other normal medical training (intern, residency, etc.) as well as take on additional specialized training.

I’m thinking like the therapist kind of psychologist, what is the exact term i should be using?

You are thinking of clinical psychology, in which you need a Ph.D or masters or PsyD for.
