Very fortunate to have been accepted to many of the Universities I had applied to. In addition, I have been offered some very decent merit scholarships at many of these schools. Financials will most likely dictate my final choice. Pretty much all the schools are now in " commitment " mode… I do not think there is a day that goes by that I do not get either an email or a postcard inviting me to an event or to sign up for a dorm, or something else. The amount of marketing is endless.
The goods news is the college picture is becoming much clearer and I can see all the positives. . In the beginning of this process what was choice number 3 is now choice number 1 and what was choice number 1 is now choice number 6. The list has moved around along with many of the facts at hand. I will be revisiting what is currently the front runner and if all goes as expected, then this school will probably the one…
With all of that being said, I will not be visiting the school for another month. In the mean time, I have already been contacted by a few of the local reps that I met during the spring of my Junior year and the Fall of my senior year… They basically wanted to provide me with more information as well as trying to see where my mind is in a very indirect way… I wonder if I were to tell them that I am currently “leaning” to attend xyz school, what would the reaction be.
The process has been quite surprising in every way. Excited for the schools that have come through and disappointed for the ones that have offered zero merit but continued to shower me with nonsense postcards and emails. I am now just as excited to “reject” them… Crazy how it all works…
