Hello,
May I ask if rejected applicants will still receive the college’s package via FedEx? It will be strange if the school has to send thousands of mails to each student, like…a lot of effort just to notify “You are not admitted to our uni”
Why would they send a package to someone who has no use for it? Are you asking if rejected students get a letter telling them they’re rejected? Yes. In the olden days (i.e., before widespread use of email) you went to the mailbox to see if you got a thin envelope (single page rejection letter) or a fat one (acceptance letter plus other materials you needed).
It depends on the college. Some colleges will send you a rejection letter while others will simply email you it.
Do you have a package to collect at FedEx?
Are you in int’l student presently living overseas? Is so, you may not get a “package” of goodies even if you are admitted, because of shipping customs/duties.
DS found out all acceptances via email or portal online first. Mail came later. Didn’t receive a single Fedex package. All thru USPS and most acceptances were in an envelope.
One school sent me BOTH an email AND a physical denial. The physical one was a waste considering I had already received the email rejection.
They don’t send rejections via Fed Ex.
My D was rejected by one school (a very rich/reach school) that only send rejection letter by regular mail.
What about Davidson College? Do they send rejections to international students especially? They told me they are gonna mail “something” to me. Freaking out…
In the olden days (2007) Caltech sent out acceptances via priority mail and rejections via regular mail. We are on the East Coast and it was six long days before we knew for sure that my son had been rejected. Thankfully the notifications now come by email and packages and fancy letters come however fast the colleges like. I don’t remember Fed Ex when my kids were applying, but I suppose it’s possible and I have forgotten.
