Good luck to all first year students heading to Montr

I arrived a week earlier with my mother (she HAD to come too =p) to buy stuff for dorm and so my mom could see the place I will be in for the next 4 years.

It’s been quite overwhelming. I come from a small town in a small country and am not really used to raising my head to be able to see the top of a building. I’m sure I’ll grow fond of it. I was also placed in the C4, so wandering around the city will be a core activity.

I did not not sign up for Frosh but registered for all the Orientation activities so I’m having a quite busy week too. I urge all students to do the same; the city is filled with extremely nice people so it’s a waste not to reach out. I’m doing my best to stop being shy and just be part of this all. Getting drunk at Frosh would have been a nice shortcut, but I guess I’ll take it slowly LOL

My best wishes to all other Freshmen too!

C4, ah the Carrefour Sherbrooke! Great central location.

McGill is large enough for everyone to find a niche.

Lol, the hotel I am staying in before I move into my rez is directly across from C4. The Delta Hotel. Wouldn’t recommend it.

Wouldn’t recommend the Delta or C4? Problems?

The Delta.

It’s decent, but the holiday inn right beside it seems nicer. In my opinion.

Interesting! A coworker was on a business trip to our Montreal office last month and stayed at the Delta and wasn’t impressed either, at least not for what they were charging. Delta used to be Canada’s best hotel chain.

Hmm, I wonder if the Delta will be a McGill residence in the near future? LOL

Haha, it could be possible. Maybe they could fix it up a bit.
