<p>ECs definitely help
but it depends on how much you participate in it, like saer said</p>
<p>for example, if you really do have a laundry list of ECs, I suggest you point out how they’re all relevant to each other (ex. if you’re in lit mag and also work at the writing center, voila! relevance)</p>
<p>You have to have more than just a list of EC’s. There has to be evidence that you are committed to that particular thing. And, equally as important, there must be evidence that you have excelled at that particular thing.</p>
<p>time is big i think. for example. you been doing boy/girl scouts for one year. did you do it to get into to BS or just because you wanted to help the community? they won’t be able to tell. i think you can do multiple things, as long as you’re dedicated to all of them. although if you do a sport, something academic, and something artsy or whatever, that shows your nice and well-rounded.</p>
