Do ssat scores hurt??????????

i got a 70% on my ssat’s (a 94% nationally) but otherwise i have a 3.6 GPA (out of 4) and all A’s and B’s
I also have so many EC’s including 5 sports, community service, i am in 3 bands,play 2 instruments, ect…
chance me… loomis,kent,hotchkiss,choate,taft???

Can’t help. The average SSAT scores at Loomis, Hotchkiss, Taft and Choate are all higher than 70%. Don’t know about Kent.

Yeah, but do i have a chanc eof getting in???

I forgot to add i also won teh award for most community service award, and i speak french… chance me!!!

you are below average. that’s all. if you had 90th percentile it would help you a lot. That would put you on the average level

k thanx guys… is it possible to take the ssat then see your score before you send it to schools?

@Yankeefan: Yes. Just don’t add any schools to the “Send To” list online until you get your score in the mail. Right after the Oct SSAT (like the day after), I got cold feet and pulled the two schools we had in “Send To” queue. After we received scores and I realized I had zero to worry about, I added some schools (including one from the list I had pulled) to the “Send To” list…

bump… is my ssat score really going to hurt me???

Can’t you retake the test?

Depends on where you are applying. Some schools don’t require the SSAT. You can use Boarding School Review’s search site ([Search Boarding Schools](Boarding School Search Tool)) to see which schools do not require SSATs.
