Do students who don't go to the orientation have a smaller chance?

<p>Do they have a smaller chance to get the classes they want? I ordered for a materials packet. I will not receive it until the mid-July. Am I going to have a smaller chance to get the classes I want?</p>

<p>There will be a problem with registering for classes if you do not attend orientation. You will need to let the counselor at Veterbi know about this as soon as possible.</p>

<p>You will get your packet in July, but you will not be cleared to register until after all other orientation sessions are over - I think registration will be Aug 16 - 23 for students who do not attend orientation.</p>

<p>There will still be spots left, the problem (as most students see it) will be that they will tend to be at undesireable or inconvenient times. Instead of a nice, tidy schedule with no classes before 10am and no classes on Fridays for example, you might find you have lots of 8am sections and classes spread out all week and all day.</p>
