If I’m applying with the Transfer Admission Guarantee to a UC, do I still need to submit a personal statement? It doesn’t specifically state I have to under the requirements…

yes you do. although TAG guarantees admission, you have to go through the same motions as any other applicant.

yes, but they won’t read them

Yes, but they don’t matter at all really. Don’t work to hard on them but do a good job.

How come they don’t read or care for them?

You need to fully understand the TAG agreement first. And then you will understand.

most schools dont really use the essays anyway, with the exception of UCB and UCLA, the others schools only use them, if the student is really boderline.

Wow, well this is a relief… thanks guys!

no problem

I heard schools like UCSD or UCD don’t read them for admission purposes but they DO read them for scholarship consideration and all that stuff tied to financial aid.
