Do testing dates make a difference?

I’m planning to take the PSAT junior year. Would taking the SAT in the spring make any difference curve-wise?

I took the real SAT sophomore year and got and 1870 (670 CR, 560 M, 640 WR 8E)

My goal is a 2050: 700 CR, 650 M, 700 W. Is this a reasonable goal?

Looking at my question break down, here are my issues:

CR: Passage-based writing (6 questions missed)
M: Geometry and Measurement (7 questions missed)
W: Essay is killing me (8), I never quite make it through the 5th paragraph

Any advice?

Try a four-paragraph essay. I find it much easier given the space and time limitations.

What format is a 4 paragraph essay?

-Intro
-Point 1
-Point 2
-Conclusion

Oh, and how’d you score on the essay?

practice all the sat math concepts

^
Definitely planning to do that. I picked what I did worse on because I did disproportionally worse on certain topics.

Your score should def. improve, from the PSAT sophmore year to the PSAT junior year, all my splits went up about 100 points (or I guess I should say 10 points)
So as long as you study and prepare well, you should be fine.

Well, I actually had to take the real SAT sophomore year, so I’m expecting my PSAT score to be a little bit higher because I hear it’s a bit easier than the SAT and because I’ll have a year to grow.

I’ve actually took it in November and January of sophomore year, I went from 1680 to an 1870 with no prep. Random, I know.

I got a 12 in March with that format.
