Do the recommendation letters need an ID number?

<p>I plan on asking my teachers for a recommendation letter but I didn’t understand something</p>

<p>How would UT austin know that this was my recommendation letter?</p>

<p>Aren’t the teachers jus going to type the my name? </p>

<p>They don’t know my social security number or my application ID so how I’ll the admissions know it’s mine?</p>

<p>Do I need to put my application ID on the envelope or tell the teacher to put it in the letter?</p>

<p>I think I just told my teacher to put my full name, my UT EID, and my applytexas ID… should cover you up the butt</p>

<p>i think i had two sent with my UT EID on it and one without. they received all of them and knew they were for me</p>
