Do these school match my stats?

It’s nearly November and I really need to figure out which schools I’m actually applying to. My college list is constantly changing. I think the list I have now will be my final list, maybe taking off a few school due to the cost of applications. Anyways, I am going to post my stats and I was wondering if you all could tell me if you think the schools fit my stats to a certain extent.

High School GPA: 2.0

Community College GPA: 3.7 if they factor in my one remedial math class; 3.85ish if they do not.

Major GPA: 3 classes so far, A’s in all. 4.0 GPA. Major is Political Science.

Credits: 50 credits at time of applying, 65 at time of transferring.

LOR: 1 from my English prof, 1 from my Poli Sci prof. They should be strong, but who really knows…

Extracurriculars since high school: Owner/founder of a political based website that makes a profit, part-time employment, worked on 2 political campaigns, private guitar instructor, volunteering at SPCA regularly for years, Phi Thetta Kappa.

Sex: Male

Hooks: Hispanic-Puerto Rican (is that a hook?), first generation college student.

Safety/Match Schools:
-American University (Don’t require my high school transcript)
-George Washington University (Don’t require my high school transcript)

Match/Reach Schools:
-New York University
-University of Southern California

Reach Schools:
-Emory University
-Claremont Mckenna College

Super Reach Schools:
-Brown University
-Cornell University
-Johns Hopkins University

I’m curious on your take on the schools I have chosen based on my stats. I’m nervous that I’m disillusioned and what I think are my safety schools are actually more of a reach than I presume. Any feedback is welcome. Thanks!

Yeah I think you’re right on the money.

I would remove Claremont McKenna and the super reaches if I were you. Not worth the time or money for the applications in my opinion. The rest I think are fine.

Thanks for the input! Anyone else?

I agree with Gunnnn to some extent, but I think you should still apply to Cornell – they’re pretty transfer-friendly, and you can make a pretty good case for yourself, I think. Your list is pretty on-the-button, in my opinion. Good luck!
