If I sent my online app on monday, would they really care? as in they won’t take into consideration if you sent it Nov 1st as opposed to back in sept?

I dont think so, as they dont do rolling admissions. I sent in mine already though…I just wanted to get it over with. Now I’ll just put it out of my head until December. If you think your application is complete, then send it in. Procastination for its own sake is senseless, IMO. Unless you think something drastic will change in a couple of days, then I would send it in now.

I mailed my application on January 3rd a couple years ago and I still got in! They really dont care and they dont see when it’s postmarked - they have people who work in the office who open the envelopes and stuff.

lol kool .

haha, that’s great news to me too~!

If you look on last year’s posts, several got their apps in within minutes of midnight and it wasn’t a problem. But do your best to avoid the last minute rush so there’s enough time in case you run into a snag.

Plus, the servers could be lagging from the rush, so you wouldn’t want your submission to get caught in the clogged tubes and be delayed! Remember, the internet is not a big truck that you can just dump things on!

ny d did not complete her app to princeton after being accepted to yale scea.
however, in jan saw a note on college confidential that princeton had contacted kids who had started their apps on the princeton website and then never hit the apply button. it gave them until like jan. 22nd to submit their apps. my d contacted princeton admissions and said that although she had applied thru the common app online, she had never completed her app. with teacher recommendations, the high school transcript etc. she asked if she now could. they said yes. she was ultimately accepted even tho her app. was late. she ended up choosing pirnceton over yale - felt nervous about area around yale. thus, i think it is not an issue. i even heard that GW’s daughter who graduated from Yale sent her app in to princeton 1 month late. she was using princeton as a backup in case she did not get into yale!! ha ha

does “by november first” mean midnight on halloween?

lol…it means before the post office closes on nov.1
