Do they scan the FRQs?

my hand writing is really light. It’s easily readable, but if they scan it and then grade it from a scan then will my light handwriting appear even lighter?

It depends on the test. My APES teacher is a reader and he said that a few of the tests are uploaded online and the readers read from the comfort of their living rooms
in the case of APES, they all go to cincinatti and read the actual pink books

If it was done in pen, it should be fine. It may even scan darker. Pencil is the only thing that scans lighter than how it appears on the actual paper.

I use a very heavy-flowing gel-like (not really gel ink though) pen, so my writing is very bold and “heavy”. Just in case. :p

It would seem very inefficient to scan the papers. To my knowledge, the FRQs are all sent to a certain area where readers will grade them by hand. It would be useless if they scanned it anyway, since staring at the paper is better than staring at a LCD screen.

I would imagine that CB sends it from their HQ to these locations for these dates:
