I just submitted my “premier application” to Simmons college. They said once they recieve all my materials like teacher rec’s, transcripts, etc. they will get back to me in 15 business days. are colleges usually accurate with this timing? any experiences with them being on time, late, etc?

None of D’s schools promised an exact time, but that’s great if it’s that fast. All of her schools took much longer to hear back!

All her schools have forums here on CC…I lurked on them to see when people who lived nearby the school started getting decisions, and then knew she should expect something in the mailbox soon.

Good luck. The waiting is the worst part.

D of a friend heard within two weeks of applying early to Knox College. Just as they promised.

It’s often that fast; they know what to do with these priority applications. However, remember that it’s from the time they receive everything. It actually took about 6 weeks for my d to hear from her “priority app” school because a rec didn’t get there until about 4 weeks after she applied. Once it was there, then yes, the school stuck to its timetable.

Yes, most schools do stick to what they say about a time you will hear their decision. Some are even nice enough to give you a phone call letting you know before they mail the decision. As Chevda said, the 15 business days is from when they have all requested information, not 15 business days from when you press submit.
