Do Universities keep all emails you've ever sent them?

A few years ago I emailed a few professors about some unique aspect of my application. I’m thinking now of just leaving those out of my application. Since the email was sent a few years ago would they still have record of it? The obvious assumption is that they deleted it since it was so long ago but I hear nowadays universities keep all email correspondence, though I’m not sure how that’s possible. Do university staff regularly delete emails from people simply asking questions?

Keep in mind I’ve never actually applied, just thought about applying, so that may be one factor to consider.

Doubtful they would have kept those E-Mails.

Emails may be deleted but they never disappear, anywhere. But doubtful if anyone would bother to search for them in the email archives.

Also highly doubtful that admissions would check with professors to see if they ever got an email from an applicant.

Nobody knows. It’s entirely possible that some schools have a policy that when profs reply to emails from HS kids they send a copy to admissions

Do not worry.

Just to clarify I’m not a high school kid. I’ve already graduated. I’m just going to school a bit later than usual.

Admissions might log theirs or attach them to an applicant somehow. But emails to profs are probably fine. That said, don’t lie on your app. A change in your area of interest or something is fine (kind of expected from young people). But an omission is something like a school attended is a different story.
