Do University admissions care about the bonus 1/2/3 points for IB??

When the scores/transcripts are sent, my School bases the extra points (IB) system on the current predicted score. e.g. a score of 39+ will get you 3 points = 42 , 32-38 will get you 2 points etc.

Since it’s completely based on the predicted score, will Unis take it into account. it does affect the final predicted score after all.

If one gets a 38/42 it equals a 40/45
whereas a 39/42 will get 42/45

Will they mostly just look at the 38 and 39 rather than placing weight on 40 vs 42??? Since there is a bigger difference between 42 and 40, in comparison to just 38 and 39

Thanks

Predicted scores are nothing to fret about. After all, they are PREDICTED scores. I never found out my predicted scores, but I’m sure they were higher than what I actually ended up with. Colleges, I’m sure, understand that your predicted scores are not your real scores and you may get higher and you may get lower than what your teachers have predicted. Therefore, they will likely put more emphasis on your grades and other IB scores (if you took any your junior year), which are certain.
