Hi guys,
Just a quick question about the Winter/Spring quarter grades. Do they really matter? I know I have to keep a decent grade (above 3.0 with no C?) but I have a bunch of GE classes like History, Philosophy for the last 2 quarters, so I’m not really sure I can get all A.
And please chance me for UCB Haas. I have a GPA of 3.91 (1 B in ESL class, 1 A- in Calculus 1B). Pre-req have been completed and I will finish 7 course breadth in Spring quarter. Average essays I think. Have a job on campus, 2 ECs and 1 community work. I do think my chance is pretty slim with my essays
Your chances are definitely not pretty slim. Remember that GPA and course load is 50% of the admissions weight for Haas and your GPA is at least above average. If you’re taking over 15 quarter units per quarter, your course load could also be considered at least decent.
As to whether or not Winter/Spring grades matter for admissions, they don’t really. I would definitely at least aim for 3.5 though.
You can update winter grades in the App, but there is no guarantee that they will be seen.
Both will need covered in your provisional contract, which can vary, but is normally a B average.
