<p>My take: Don’t mention it unless you explain it. And don’t do either unless it’s worthwhile to do so.</p>
<p>You need to make a decision: Is the award sufficiently relevant to what you’re applying for that it’s worthwhile devoting space on your resume to the explanation? If it is, put it in. If not, leave it out.</p>
