They always forget what they buy for me. So I often get to spend things with impunity - since I realize that they will forget what they have bought for me a year ago - and so then it becomes advantageous for me to buy a lot (as long as it’s not too much in one interval). ^_^

Personally, I couldn’t take advantage of my parents. I have a great deal of respect for their money; I wouldn’t spend it without their permission and make sure I actually need what I’m buying.

I suppose that my parents don’t mind that much since I’m not going to an expensive institution and any money that I spend here is going to be far less than the money that would be lost to an expensive institution.

I don’t spend that much money anyways - almost all of it is on textbooks and some computer components.

My mom claims her memory isn’t as good as it used to be and yeah, she forgets names a lot, but on everything else, she’s on it and so is my dad. They are really generous to me (being an only child helps, I think!), so I respect both their time, devotion and their respect towards me.

my mom can remember more things that I can! haha she’s a very very smart woman!
but well I may take advantage of my dad’s poor memory, but I never need to.

Lol. You know - there’s always a societal belief that you can always take advantage of.

Take advantage of the fact that society looks favorably upon people who were “young and immature and irresponsible” when they were young and who managed to reform themselves when they grow older. So there’s a period of time where you can pretend to be immature and irresponsible and then after a certain age, pretend that you’ve reformed yourself.
