Do you flip?

Years ago, people are flipping houses. Now, you see many shows about picking and buying storage units etc. Do you do any flipping?

On the side, I have been some flipping of camera equipments. I buy Nikon equipments both from eBay and Craiglist. A good cleaning, some minor repair, and use of high end packaging are the three key things I do for resale. I want to impress the buyer with the condition of equipment. Another strategy is to buy a package and sell individual item.

I have been doing 100% Craiglist selling. Because I want the buyer to check the gear out first. Most of the time, becaue I prepare the gears so well, they took a look and pay me the money without any problem.

Only two times I lost some $$. The first one because I did not know how to check a manual lens and got cheated by the seller. The second time because DW accidentaly knocked the lens hard so I had to sell it for parts.

Bad part of selling on Craiglist is that everyone soon knows you and make low offers because they know you are flipping.

Dad II, I don’t flip, but I liked reading your story.

I flip books. Pick them up at thrift stores, library sales, garage sales, freebies from friends. Then I sell them online. Thankfully, I have many bookshelves in my home, so plenty of space to store them .

According to the many CC stories about recent LAC graduates, the only things I should be flipping are …

B U R G E R S

Well, xiggi,

Set them straight. What have you been doing the last few years? I’m serious.
