I don’t know just wondering…

Sort of. On my apps, I passed off mowing lawns for people during the summer as starting a landscaping business (which isn’t false, but I think it sounds good).

Talk about stretching the truth…:)

Haha. Well, it really was a small – small – business. I distributed fliers, set up rate structures, etc. I had like five different customers, worked 10-15 hours a week.

i will be working this summer
first real job-- first job i’m getting paid for haha!

i’ve worked for Toys Toys Toys as a customer service rep, Longos as a cashier…that was all 2 years ago
but it still counts! Last year though, I was a private tutor at my school :)

Nope, no job here. I haven’t ever really had one - I worked at a children’s track camp for two weeks for each of the past few summers, but that was more volunteering for my coach than anything. I want a summer job, but I’ll be in France the first two weeks after school’s out, and I can’t start work now because of track. As a result, I don’t think I’ll be able to find anything - it’s not like I can ask for the first two weeks off.

Back to Trader Joes for me.

Yeah for free food and 10% discounts.

What is “Trader Joes”?

http://www.traderjoes.com/about/index.asp

it’s kind of like Whole Foods…UGH. i hate that, in general, it’s so easy to lie on college apps. this isn’t like about Kelly or anything, it’s about this kid on the Penn board who so clearly lied on his apps…I mean, I work at Dunkin’ Donuts and didn’t feel the need to say something like bakery/coffee entrepreneur. i bet when they see, “Developed and hosted a series of radio broadcasts about issues for Russian youth in America for a Russian radio station” they’ll think I’m BS-ing or something

Trader Joe’s is MUCH cheaper than Whole Foods

The reason they call it Whole Foods is because you spend your Whole paycheck there.

I had an awfule time of finding a job last summer. Under 18, couldn’t drive, no experience, and 40 year-olds working the typical “teen jobs.” At least I’m used to being rejected by now.

I ended up working a temporary job at a clothing store and then doing volunteer work on trail systems.

Not anymore, but I’ve held down jobs at Hollister and Baskin Robbins the past two summers

My 200th post:

Baskin-Robbins…mmmmmm…so good.

I work at nerd central, our local library…its tedious but it fits my track schedule really well and its relatively clean and quiet…i’ve been told i talk too much while there tho
I also babysit to make extra cash for gas and insurance money

I have a job (well, sort of). It’s hard for me though because of my training season…

I work in a men’s clothing store in which we see around 10 customers per 8 hour day. The problem is, we sell custom suits, etc. Also, we have to be clad in the best things we own! No exterior labels, etc. Always suit with suspenders or vest, buttoned!

The good thing is, my boss is GREAT. Also, I have a really good friend who works there with me. I also get 40% off----that just shows you how high stuff gets marked up in specialty retail! We mark up cufflinks, etc almost 500%

We did sell a sportcoat & slacks to Rusty Wallace (which he wore on David Letterman the night he announced his retirement.) I’m not a nascar fan, but i guess it was cool.

Baskin Robbins is good!

Nah… i wish i had one though…

I work at a car wash

I’ve worked for my mom doing clerical work and graphic design (she owns a women’s clothing store)… and it is a real job that I’ve had throughout high school, so I hope that they don’t just think I put it on my apps because it’s my mom and she’d lie for me.
