Do you have to reapply for a NCP Waiver?

Hi, I’m a returning student who got his NCP waived freshman year. Now that I’m reapplyigg for aid (CSS PROFILE), I want to know if I’m supposed to resubmit a waiver request for the NCP? Or does the school already have the previous request on file?

Contact your school and ask them

A quick email or phone call to your school’s FA office, and you would know the answer to your question.

I’d guess they’d have it on file but when it’s this important it’s best to call or email and make sure.

Most colleges have a portal with docs received and still outstanding - does yours show everything is in or a waiver/NCP profile form is outstanding?

This will very depending on school policy…and also the reason for the waiver.

For example…if the NCP is in jail for many years, and this was verified as an incoming freshman, this might not require an addiction NCP waiver in subsequent years.

However, if the reason was more of a lack of contact, that might need to be verified again. Simply put…some kids do reconcile with the NCP after they enter college.
