Do you have to show work in SAT book?

So I took my first SAT recently and thought I did pretty well. Math was easier than I thought and I didn’t even need to write much of my work out (usually I would but on timed tests I try not to). I told my friends this and they said if you don’t show work College Board might cancel your scores because of cheating. I said that can’t be because some people do work in their head like me or do it all on a calculator. Then they said true it’ll depend on if you have similar answers to those around you.

Aren’t all tests around you different? And even if they were the same, couldn’t two smart kids get most of the same answers?

So I have a few questions: Are my friends just trying to scare me or could they actually cancel my scores?

How many scores that get flagged and delayed are eventually cancelled?

Thank you for your time.

I recommend that you do so you could understand the problem, mostly the work should be applied to Math problems.

I will in the future, but do you think College board will think I was cheating?

No. they do not look at your book. You can show absolutely no work and they will never know.

Cool Thanks!

yea they don’t care if u write on the book or not. you just can’t do your work on the answer sheet.
