Do you keep your Longaberger baskets?

Well…I finally used one today. I was toying with the thought of just finally getting rid of them…I was in the basement. So today, DH 2. Has friends over and wants 2 types of candy. Wa-la…I used the one that is a bread basket that can be converted…it has a wood divider with 2 separate plastic inserts for each side. Loved having it, so am bringing upstairs and storing somewhere in the kitchen.

I have one that I store lingerie in and another that is really a ceramic dish that I use for appetizers and leftover reheating. I have re-gifted most of the others I receive from my friend.

Anyone need a giant basket? Longaberger is moving their staff out of the building and it will now be empty.

(building it must seem like a really bad idea right about now!!!)

I must be the only person on the planet who continues to use my longaberger baskets. I like them far better than any other baskets I own.

My mom got Longaberger Easter baskets for the kids. They will last forever being used only one week a year.

From what I understand of the building, the basket aspect is structural. So it wouldn’t be a matter of replacing the facade and having an office building. And they had to heat the handles to keep ice from forming on them. Can’t imagine there is much of a market for real estate in Newark (even without being in the shape of a giant basket).

Company sold its golf course a few years ago. A very nice course that got great ratings.

I think an exterminating company should buy the building and put giant ants crawling around the picnic basket.

Or perhaps a place for the incurable to be institutionalized. The basket cases.

WAIT. I think I just found a buyer!!! ME!

Maybe Yelp can move one of their call centers in there… Dirt cheap real estate! Oops. They already fully committed to that multi-million, non-cancellable lease downtown SF. LOL.

I bet Yelp could sublease if they wanted to.
