<p>Hi, I’m going to be a senior in high school in California. I have a cummulative GPA of 3.833 and my SAT score is 1820. Junior year I got a 4.333 and took honors english, honors physics, and AP US history. I was ranked 21% in my class. Next year I’m going to take AP physics, AP Calculus, AP European history, and AP literature. I don’t have that ONE college that I want to go to but I do have requirements for it.
I’m in the recruiting process for soccer, so it must have a women’s soccer team. </p>

<p>MUST HAVES:</p>

<p>Sports teams - football, soccer, rugby, crew etc.
Snowy, at least in the winter
Beautiful “prestigious-looking” buildings (e.g. Ivy Leagues have a specific old historic look to them)</p>

<p>NOT-SO-MUST HAVES:</p>

<p>D1 sports
9,000-17,000 students
Astronomy/Astrophysics major
Study Abroad option
Catholic religious affiliation
Big sports atmosphere
Small student teacher ratio (e.g. 1:10-1:20)</p>

<p>I like U Washington, Upenn, Villanova, Dartmouth, U Pittsburgh, Xavier, U Michigan…etc. Any further information you have about schools that match my description, schools that I just mentioned, or schools similar to the ones I just mentioned will be greatly appreciated.

<p>Boston College fits every criteria under “must haves” and every criteria under “not-so-must-haves” besides an astronomy/astrophysics major. We don’t have that major, at least that I know of.</p>

<p>Your SAT is a tad low, but if you’re good enough at soccer, it could grease the wheels a bit.</p>

<p>If cost is a concern, consider Stony Brook, Minnesota, and Iowa State.</p>

<p>You might not think of snow in Hawaii, but the observatory on Mauna Kea does get snow. So do Mauna Loa and Haleakala. However, these mountains are not on the same island as the main University of Hawaii campus (which is considered a fine school for astronomy).</p>

<p>UChicago matches a lot of your criteria, including must haves (except it barely surpasses 5000 students by a hundred or so, not much) and a few not so must haves. SAT might be low, but they seem to be more holistic about admissions. Hope that might help!</p>

<p>A 2000/2400 at least would put you closer on the radar for Tufts, ND, BC, HC. A 2100+ is safer though. Probably possible if you put in the effort to study. That score would also be the average for schools like WUSTL, UPenn, Dartmouth, UMich.</p>

<p>Might look at Holy Cross great academics, nice campus 1 hour from Boston. Holy Cross has Division 1 sports and competes against most Ivies.</p>

<p>Colby College in Maine; Kenyon, Denison or Miami U in Ohio; Williams in Massachusetts, if you can raise your SAT above 2100.</p>
