My English teacher makes it sound as if half the people in college plagiarize, which doesn’t sound plausible at all. So do you know anybody that did plagiarize and got punished/kicked out? Stories…

The professor in one of my classes told us a story about how some kid paid some other guy online to do all his programming projects for him, and for some reason, refused to pay for one of the projects, so the guy who did the programming emailed the professor. I presume some bad **** happened to that kid.

Define plagiarism.

Most students don’t copy their homework straight from others’ work or pay someone to do their homework.

However, it is pretty common that students consult outside material (e.g. wikipedia, other textbooks or random websites) to clarify and enhance their understanding of a book or theory or concept. If I had to guess, I would say that those sources are almost never explicitly acknowledged.

I have so so much.

I did, right until I cut them into pieces. ****ing with the academic honor code won’t fly on this campus lemme tell ya.
