Do you mind chancing a nj junior?

<p>Im a junior in a small public school with enrollment at 799. My freshmen year i didnt think much of college or grades and finished with a 3.5, entering sophomore year i realized how bad that was and worked on improving it to the highest i could get, do you think with the low gpa but good extracurriculars i could still get in?</p>

<p>Sat: 2310</p>

<p>Gpa: 4.48</p>

<p>Extracurriculars: Emt for 3 years, Office of Emergency Management for 3 years, created a branch of students for haiti at Ramsey High school (2 yrs), aided st.johns soup kitchen in Newark ever since i was 12, 2 years in club students against destructive desicions. </p>

freshman lvl outdoor track
sophomore year- junior and senior to come
varsity crosscountry
varsity winter track
varsity outdoor track
I hope to actually run at duke, having checked the times and being able to match or come close to them, although i don't know if it will help me get in or if i have to get in first. If you have an knowledge on recruiting at duke, that would help as well.
My intended major is either nursing, finance, or mathematics.</p>
