Do you need snow boots in St. Louis?

<p>Is it worth to give snow boots as Christmas gift to someone who lives in St. Louis? Or winter boots will do? BTW, recommend me an online shop, too, please. Thanks!</p>

<p>You rarely need snow boots in St. Louis. I have a pair of all purpose boots that I use in the relatively rare event there is snow. It seldom accumulates, and if it does is usually gone in a day or two.</p>

<p>St. Louis has a lot of icy rain that accumulates as slush. There were several snow storms in the two years I lived there.</p>
