Do you need to demonstrate interest in 2 different colleges - Falk and another

This is very helpful. Thank you! I hope he’s happy wherever he is.

My understanding is at Indiana it’s actually at the Purdue campus which he isn’t interested in. But if you know different, please share. Agree on Michigan but for some reason we’d consider it if he actually got in. But again, he’s aware of the financials there. I may convince him to not apply.

He is. He wound up at UFlorida doing statistics (he will probably double in sports management). It doesn’t have all the sports analytics bells and whistles, but he just likes a large public sports school vibe and he got in-state tuition bc/o grandparent tuition waiver. There does seem to be a good group of kids interested in sports analytics and opportunities for jobs and internships in the area as part of the school of sports management. He’s got a very part time job in the area and is having a great time!

OK - you mentioned IU Kelley on your list above - which is the B school.

Here is the IU Sports major - but of course, he has varied interests - hence your title of Falk and another.

Here is info on Purdue - doesn’t seem a formal major but no doubt via a data analytics type major it can be a focus.

With the list above - you’ll have lots of great schools of varying price points and different academic programs.

Best of luck.

Yes, agree with this. SU really looks at demonstrated interest- they want to know your child really wants to go there, why they think they’re a good fit, and if accepted, that they will go there. I would say it certainly couldn’t hurt to show interest in the other program as well.
