Do you really need the ACT?

I’ve taken the SAT, and I’m pretty happy with my score. I’ve also taken several SATII’s that I am happy with. So do you really need the ACT? Would it help to have it on an application?

I guess the question can work the other way. If one has a good ACT and a couple Subject Tests, is the SAT Reasoning Test necessary? It seems like everyone on CC has taken both, but it’s not like it’s required.

Of course not.

I don’t think so.

To put it simply, no.

Who knows, you might do even better! I was ok with my SAT score, but decided to take the ACT anyways and am so glad I did.

Ok thanks. I just want to avoid the whole process really.

i’ve heard people tend to do better on the ACT, so
if you’ve taken a practice version you should be able to tell (on the act explore i think i did better than the PSAT)

on the other hand i also want to avoid the process and my SAT scores are fine and i am incredibly lazy
