Do you remember?

“Anyone from Boston remember Major Mudd? How about Bozo The Clown?”

Being called a bozo was a real put down. Remember Feep, the spacesuited host of Fantasmic Features movies? Big Brother Bob Emery?

Perry Mason
Johnny Carson
Sesame Street

The actress who played Penny, Sky King’s niece, died recently. I was surprised to find out that she had been living only a few miles from my house right here in our suburb of San Diego.

Being horse crazy, I was watching “Fury” and “My Friend Flicka” on Saturday mornings.

VA Mom, yes! Wallace and Ladmo! Gerald! 4 PM, channel 5. I think. Regarding the abortion controversy, yes, I know the teacher, the story, and can guess your HS. Perhaps. Grew up in Scottsdale as well as the middle of PHX, and loved biking through sprinklers, hanging out in orange orchards, the smell of alfalfa being irrigated, renting ponies to ride right in town.

Everybody doesn’t like something, but nobody doesn’t like Sara Lee

In this man’s world.
For people who are having fun, fun, fun, fun, …

Schaefer is the one beer to have
When you’re having more than one.

Once upon a time there was an engineer
Choo Choo Charlie was his name, we hear.
He had an engine and he sure had fun
He used GOOD & PLENTY candy to make his train run.
Charlie says “Love my GOOD & PLENTY!”
Charlie says “Really rings my bell!”
Charlie says “Love my GOOD & PLENTY!”
Don’t know any other candy that I love so well!

I remember being dropped off at Six Flags when the gates opened and picked up when the park closed. I think the first time I was nine or ten when I went with another same age friend. Sooo not happening now in this day and age.

Recently I’ve been reading a book about the Comanches and the history of Texas, which has reminded me how much kids used to play cowboys and Indians back in the 50 and 60s, and how prevalent Westerns were on TV. There was some WWII play as well. All now faded from the culture, at least from this vantage point.

Hotdogs, Armour hotdogs. What kinds of kids love Armour hot dogs? Fat kids, skinny kids, kids who climb on rocks, tough kids, sissy kids, even kids with chicken pox love hotdogs, Armour hot dogs, the dogs kids love to bite.
