Does anyone remember Baby Alive? She came with some packets of powder that you mixed with water that resulted in some sort of goop that you fed her. Afterwards, you had to change her diaper. Why did we think that was fun?

Anyone remember the doll Tippy Toes? She came with a tricycle and a horse. The mention of Baby First Step made me remember Tippy Toes. I must have had them both.

Cars: Gremlin, Pacer, Pinto - all my friends had one of these new cars when they turned 16. My parents bought me a 1969 Malibu Chevelle - I didn’t appreciate it but I got lots of dates because all the guys wanted to drive my car!

@Silpat, our mom’s must have had the same home ec profs. My 90 year old mom is still a proponent of Betty Crocker… @HarvestMoon1, I received a Betsey Wetsy when younger sib was born, but dreamed, literally, of owning Tiny Tears.

Among all the snack cakes out there, my favorite was always Funny Bones with the peanut butter filling.
We used to do a class gift exchange in elementary school/middle school years where you would draw someone’s name to give a gift to, back when public school fully celebrated Christmas with Christmas parties and Christmas pageants with Christmas carols (the area wasn’t very diverse and is only slightly more so now). The popular gift to exchange was the Lifesaver Storybook with all the rolls of lifesavers in it.
