Do you think i can get into Johns hopkins with the following?

<p>i got a 2060 in sat…640 in math yea…<em>ashamed</em>
but i have an A average in high school.
have been winning national level quiz competitions since 7th grade.
have been the editor in chief of all my school publications(my schools one of the best in the country)
have been school head.
Got the best actress awards for 2 years in a row.
Formed the animal lovers society.
Formed the SKV Gazette(Monthly newsletter).
Was in the school orchestra for 7 years.
was the lead guitarist in a rock band named arcane.
science Olympiad winner.
Have done extensive lab work.
did volunteer work at the spca and at a center for disabled children.
Have won awards for creative writing,web page designing,inter school rock band competitions.</p>

<p>do you think i should consider applying to johns hopkins…an some ivy leagues…or are they way outta my league?</p>

<p>Dude I got a 620 in Math, you’re doing great! Most private schools have a holistic view on applications, so if you got the money and the time, try for all the schools you want to go!</p>

<p>Have you tried taking the ACT?</p>

<p>I went to hopkins with a 1330 sat this was the old days 6 years ago, and a 3.1 gpa and got in, I was a debate champion wanting to do politics so they liked me. If you are a biomedical engineer you have to be a lot better, if you are in some other area they are more interested in what you bring and less about your math scores. Also there’s no core curriculum so you won’t have to take calculus if you don’t want.</p>

<p>all ivies save maybe cornell are high reaches for you unfortunately. i would hopkins as low reach/high match so you definitely still have a chance.</p>
