Do you think I should apply to one more school?

I have filled out applications for three schools, Arizona State University, Montclair State University and University of Mississippi.

There is a chance that none will accept me. Should I spend 50 more bucks on a guaranteed safety school or should I just stick with these three schools and hope I get accepted to one. Keep in mine that I don’t have a lot of money to spend, and I’ll be pretty mad if I apply to a safety school and one of the three accept me.

Obvisously for you to answer my question you need to see my resume and evaluate the chances of me not getting accepted to either Arizona State University, Montclair State University or University of Mississippi.

Here’s my resume:

Try and find a safety that has a free application. Many waive the app fee if you apply online.

I would add 2 more.

I would definitely apply to a safety.

You MUST apply to a safety. It must also be a financial safety, meaning that if you don’t get a dime in aid, you’d still be able to attend.

Yes you may need a financial safety, or is that Montclair State University and University of Mississippi? I know ASU ( looked into the school myself) would not be a great financial safety for someone who is low income like myself. Perhaps try to find a private school great with meeting aid, or some public school within your state.
I currently do not have a financial safety either so I know its a horrible feeling.

If you don’t have enough money to be comfortable applying to one more school, how are you going to pay for whatever school you gain acceptance to? Out of state publics --with the exception of UNC, UVA and possibly William and Mary – aren’t able to meet financial need of in-state students, so of course, they give even less to OOS students. If they give merit aid, they give it to students whose stats are at the top of the application pool.

You need to apply to a financial safety in your home state. For many students, their financial safety is a community college that they can commute to.

will p is a good financial safety for north jerseyans. a few of my friends go there and just commute from home. kean as well.

if you want to go out of state u hartford sounds like a match, especially if your looking for a nice party school.

forgot to add, u hartford app is free if you apply online. paper is like 35 bucks. good luck dude.

Like others have said, you absolutely need to apply to a school that you will definitely get in, can definitely afford, and definitely would be willing to go to. Think of it as insurance; you pay 50 dollars to guarantee that you won’t have to put off college for a year (I imagine that if an application fee is a significant expense, you won’t be able to afford sitting on your butt for a year).
