?Do You Think I Will Get Into College?

GPA - 3.65 (Soph Year = 2.9 GPA, explained in interview and essay)
ACT - 25 (retook w/ a 26. No point in sending in)

Amazing Teacher & Counselor Reccs. Very close to all of them.
My essays are stellar to say the least.

ECs:
Worked as a pastry and bread chef in a supermarket in Canada
Interned for UCI Biz School Professor
Sole Caretaker of Grandmother
VP of Model United Nations
VP of Stock Market Club
JV/Varsity Soccer 3 years
Invisible Children (Community Service Hours)

Number one is SMU. Unfortunately deferred. I mainly want to know my chance of getting in?
A lot of the people deferred from my school have GPAs in the low 3s, closer to a 3.0, and do not have ECs, recommendations, or essays like mine. But anything can happen…

Other schools:
UW
UMich
Vandy
Notre Dame
UCSB
UCSD
UCLA
UCB
USC

It may look like I applied to schools way out of my range, but I went through something sophomore year that destroyed my GPA. If it was not for that, I would have an incredible GPA. For instance, I took 4 APs junior year, ended up with a 4.2, so not too shabby. My only real anchor here is my ACT…but I was hoping adcoms would look past one exam in comparison to the multitude of exams I took over the course of 4 years.

Thanks for taking the time to chance me, I need the confidence boost!! I’ll chance ya back.

Yes you will get into college - if you dont know if you will get into college with a 3.7 GPA than the school that you went to to get that 3.7 GPA is a joke

It’s just a title dude…but I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your input. Very helpful.

Strongly suggest you have an academic & financial safety that you will be happy to attend and are 95% likely to get admitted AND finance if the schools you applied to do not accept you. The schools you listed are quite competitive and can be quite expensive as well. Many of them do not give much merit or FAid either.

I applied to U of Oregon as a safety, got in a long time ago. Money is not too much of an issue.

Bumpity bump. Ill chance you back if that’s what it takes ! Hahaha
