-6 honors classes, 3 APs (U.S. History (4), Lit (expect 5), English (expect 5))
-Essays should be good–writing is my strong suit
-Good rec
-Editor in chief of school newspaper for 2 yrs (was first junior to ever get the job)
-President of Movie Club
-Wrote articles for The Grand Rapids Press for 3 years
-Organized fundraisers for Darfur and Michigan food banks
-Attended Northwestern University’s NHSI Journalism program (prestigious summer program)
-Several stories/poems/essays published in natl magazines
-Lots of community service
-Young Democrats AND Young Republicans (I’m open-minded, haha)
-French Club
-Choir and school plays
-Natl Honor Society, Natl Honor Roll, School Honor Roll, Academic letter, blah, blah, blah
-Father and grandfather went to U of M (I don’t know if this counts at all)</p>

<p>I applied Nov. 3, just a couple of days after EA.</p>

<p>Haven’t heard anything from them yet, except an email notification saying my high school never sent my transcript (LOVE MY COUNSELORS).</p>

<p>I’ve already been accepted to Michigan State and University of Missouri. Rejected from Northwestern. Waiting on Wesleyan University.</p>

-4.01 GPA weighted… whats you 10/11 grade academic unweighted gpa though? thats how UM recalculates i have a 4.0 UM GPA

<p>and i got in about a month ago i applied Oct. 23rd though
you should get in easily, from the looks of it theyre really lineant on instate residents
i know a bunch of underqualified people from my school (25 ACT, 3.5 GPA) that actually got in</p>

<p>I think you got a good shot. But since you applied after ED, don’t expect to hear anything soon (not that it’s impossible, but I wouldn’t get your hopes up). But i’m sure you’ll hear soon in January especially with high credentials like that. Good luck!</p>
