My weighted GPA is a 3.85
My combined SAT scores were 1740. I got a 630 on math, a 600 in reading, and a 510 in writing.
I am also applying for biomedical engineering and I know that engineering is harder to get into.
I was also in 12 AP and Honors classes in high school.
Thank you!!!

You have VERY similar stats as my daughter… Her GPA is slightly higher (4.02 weighted) but SAT was lower (1710).
Same amount of honors/AP classes… 12. We took a risk and applied directly to Smeal Business, which is very competitive as is engineering… She did not opt for summer nor did she choose an alternate campus. If she gets rejected, we will ask to be reconsidered for DUS… I think she can get in to UP for fall, but Smeal might be tough. I think you might be in a similar situation, but go for it! Good luck!

You have a good chance of getting into the College of Engineering at the main campus.

But please beware!

The ETM (entrance to major) requirements for Biomedical Engineering is extremely difficult. Most students tend to switch majors within 1~2 years of school because they can’t pass some of the introductory classes or their GPA are really bad. In fact, you will need at least 3.0 GPA to be considered for admission as a biomed engineering major.
