Do You Think Kids' Shows Reinforce Stereotypes?

So my little brother watches Nick and Disney channel a lot. What I noticed, especially with the live action shows, that stereotypes are explicitly reinforced. They are all the same; there is that attractive, dumb as bricks jock that is played by a guy in his twenties in good shape. And then there is that unattractive nerdy kid with acne who wears glasses. He is shown as socially awkward and “smart”, but the stuff that comes out of his mouth is usually nonsense that just sounds smart, or something you can learn in elementary. Typical, the writers weren’t engineers or scientists. The jock is then bewildered by that statement.
Now, is it just me, or does that reinforce stereotypes?
