the trend is more colleges offering ED to lock in applicants
I’m with @Luckyjade2024 - with all the uncertainty, more colleges will want to reduce the uncertainty in the number of students who enroll.
Only the dozen or so colleges which have yields of over 50%-60% will feel that they can safely drop ED/SCEA without worrying about under- or over-enrollment.
Look how many have been adding an ED2 in the past few years.
It is getting very late for deadline changes. Common App opens in 6 days.
and the schools that have added ED and ED2 are filling up a good portion of the incoming class.
