<p>Just wondering what people’s opinions were on this. The “B+/A-” student I’m referring to is the student that is above average but can’t match the accomplishments and aptitude of other students who may be applying to the same competitive colleges (like HYPS). </p>
<p>Do you think a great essay could be the thing that pushes a prospective student into the accepted pile even if his/her grades and standardized scores may not necessarily match other people’s?</p>
