Do you woot?

I’ve trained my kids well. My son is always looking for the best deal on the internet. If he would research internships as much as he looks for well priced stuff, he would have a high paying summer internship right now. Last night he showed be this site: [Woot : One Day, One Deal (SM)](http://www.woot.com/) which offers daily deals. Today it’s the iflip for $59 + 5 shipping. Yesterday it was Roombas! Anyone else have experience with this site? I was considering an iflip after seeing one at a party and this is the lowest price I’ve seen.

My son just told me about Woot. I was intrigued by today’s camera, but if you read some of the reviews, they’re not so great. Still, I’m not going to stop Wooting, though I haven’t bought anything yet.

Definitely worth checking in every day just for the write-ups. I’ve never seen more entertaining product descriptions. (I have only very rarely bought from there–no problems, but you have to luck into something you actually wanted. It’s very tempting to buy stuff just because it’s a great price and the verbiage made you laugh.)

wow…this is a cool site…thanks for sharing.
Anyone else out here have one of those cameras? Considering one as a gift for H.

My SIL has the iflip and I tried it out. It’s very, very easy to use, to review and to delete. It has this flip out usb thingy that you put right into your computer and it downloads it right away. At least that’s what my SIL said, we didn’t do it then. I was thinking that it would be fun for my youngest to take for robotics and less worrisome then if he took the more expensive camera.

Techie S of a friend turned his dad onto Woot, who in turn told us about it. We have yet to purchase anything, but friend has gotten some great deals.

I have all the blogs & news & things that I typically read on my RSS feeder… the Woot feed is on there.

I confess, I am a devoted Wooter. In fact, I bought this weeks roomba woot; two roomba’s for $149. They will make christmas presents.
One caveat; they don’t accept returns, so be sure you want the item before you purchase.

I’ve wooted for over a year now…found it before the techie kid did. I regularly buy the t-shirts (which are limited run, and on the weekends, designed by customers through contests). The woot-offs are a lot of fun as well. There are several woot holiday gifts awaiting my family this year.

It is one of son’s favorite shopping sites. And he does get bargains, you just have to look daily, which is what he does.

I don’t think to look often enough to catch anything I may want. Oh well, that saves me $$!

I’ve bought a few things from Woot and have been satisfied. And I was in for two Flips today - both my kids have February birthdays.

Love the wootoffs, but how does anybody manage to score a Random Bag O Crap?

I followed it daily for a while when it was new, but didnt find their prices to be all that great. There are other great websites for deals , bargains, specials, etc that trumped woot’s pricing and choices.

from fireflyscout ~ Love the wootoffs, but how does anybody manage to score a Random Bag O Crap?

LOL, S has tried for that several times and never got it. He has a friend who has gotten it at least twice with some pretty cool stuff in it (I don’t remember what, though).

For the outdoorsy among you, I recommend Steep and Cheap, if you haven’t already seen it. Like woot, only one deal at a time, until its sold out, and then something new, so several different things a day. Really great for hiking gear, luggage, cold weather clothes (LOTS of coats) etc. So much fun.

[Steep and Cheap: Marmot Impulse Jacket - Men’s - $51.97 - 61% off](http://www.steepandcheap.com/)

I “Woot” and I also “thingfling”. Good service with both sites. Many people buy things on those sites and then sell them on ebay.

My brother just bought, but has not yet received, a “BOC.” We’ve both been trying for a year. Our best guess is that the quicker your connection, the more likely you are to get it – he got in while at work. We also use woot trackers, which he thinks might help, but I’m not so sure. I’m glad to know we’re not the only adults buying on these sites!

I never heard of any of these sites; thanks for the info!

I woot foh da wions but dey keep woosing!

MJres: LOL!!

The woot site also has funny contests where people photoshop woot products into pictures, for example movie posters - some people have waaaaaaayyy to much time on their hands but they’re really good at photoshop.
