<p>I’ve heard some pretty terrible stories about the internet at Dobie. Can anyone who’s lived there give me some insight?</p>
<p>I lived in Dobie this past fall and spring semester. </p>
<p>During the fall, it was bad. It would seem to randomly lose internet connection or not work when loading up a page about once every three minutes or so. The speed was kinda slow too. I started using an ethernet cable and it was a little faster. For some reason, the internet on my phone was faster and much more stable than the internet on my computer. The connection on my phone wasn’t exactly fast either.</p>
<p>During the spring it was much better. It no longer failed to work once every three minutes like it did in the fall. It was also a little faster and I was okay with the internet. </p>
<p>I’ve played a few online games using the internet such as call of duty and those were always a struggle as I felt 2 or 3 seconds behind every single other player in the lobby with the internet. The nice news is that you have unlimited bandwidth.</p>
