I was checking my application status because for about a month it had said that they have not received my class rank. Thing is, my school doesn’t rank. I checked it today, and it says that processed my transcript and rank Feb 5. Closing date was Jan 28. Will this significantly delay my answer back? Also wondering how they receive and process something that wasn’t sent to them? I know my school sent out mid-year transcripts and apparently A&M processed that along with the supposed class rank. Anyways, my primary question is still whether or not the delay in processing will delay my response from admissions. Thanks in advance to those who answer.

What rank did it give you? What was your class rank on Feb 5?
On my daughters it tells what rank she was/class size “24/211” then “processed” then the date document was received “11/24/08”- what does it say in your case?

And what is the Closing Date? I cant find that anywhere on applicant.tamu.edu - maybe I am just overlooking a closing date… Do you mean closing date for applications?

I think if they have your documentation - they are just listing the date it was put on the web site - my daughters dates are different for several documents that were all sent in the same envelope.
I wouldnt worry about these dates delaying your admission.

there is a list of documents that were suppose to be on file in order for your application to be complete. If all your documents are not there, your file would be incomplete. For general admission, your app will be view as soon as it is complete. If applying for certain department, same thing goes, your file won’t be sent to the department for admission until everything is turn in, the department will have a schedule date where everyone will meet and view your app. as a team. So, expect further delay than general admission.

To klparker32: It doesn’t say a class rank. My school does not rank, and they would have not received one.

Regardless, my question was answered when I checked AIS today. I’m now on step 4 and they sent out my decision by mail yesterday. :)

You said it had processed your transcript and class rank, I just wondered if it gave you a class rank… I’m sure it was just saying it processed the fact you had no class rank.

Good luck! It should pop up on the web site very soon, you wont have to wait for the letter ;)

I’m happy because this will be the first out of nine schools that I am waiting to hear back from. Assuming I’m accepted (qualify for auto) I will finally get to join the wall of admits in my counselor’s office lol :p

disasterpiece02, where does A&M rank among your choices for college?

To be honest, maybe 5th or 6th out of the nine schools that I applied to. I still find it to be an attractive option, but it would take some pretty bad scenarios for me to attend. As in, I don’t get accepted/receive good financial aid from my other schools. The things that interest me most are the engineering program and location, I’m from Texas and proud of it.

Well I hope you get your first choice!

Thanks klparker :)

… I mean that with all my heart ;)

Not even my own parents care about me that much…jk :p

if accepted, are you suppose to reply in any way saying that you will attend or refuse?
