does 200 points on the SAT make much of a diff??

I raised my SATby 200 with another screen name and the chances responses were drastically diff!!!

200 points does make a significant difference - it’s basically about one whole tier.

You sneaky, sneaky… laptop?!

If you want a very precise answer, it depends somewhat on the score range. The difference between a 2200 and a 2400 is considerably greater than the difference between a 1600 and an 1800, even on the new SAT in which the upper tier of the score range isn’t nearly as skinny.

But of course, 200 points is always fairly significant, unless you’re applying to schools in Australia or what not. No question there.

I was given total reject to UCLA/UCB, but with the 200 pts added on…it was match or in!!!

yes it makes a difference…retake it then
